National Volunteers Week

If we didn't have volunteers, we wouldn't have a Foundation, so a huge thank-you to each and every person who works tirelessly behind the scenes, making the charity what it is today.

We asked our Company Secretary, Janet Inman, why she volunteers.

"Why do I volunteer?

I have been a volunteer since I was at school, taking up coaching younger children at school and organising events and competitions. Not only volunteering in sport but also supporting young people in Early Years, setting up and running a Play Group. After having children I decided to focus on one sport and because of the team work and comradery i decided to stick with Volleyball, over the years I have been a coach, team manager, administrator, League secretary, chairperson, Board member and now Trustee and Company Secretary at the Foundation. This year will be my 8th and last year as a Foundation Trustee, it has been a pleasure working with other Trustees and finding ways to support others into this amazing sport."
