More Positive Feedback Following the Grants we gave in Summer

Fireball London were another club who benefitted from the funding program.

We received the below feedback, and we’re sure you’ll agree they definitely put it to good use!

“This year we ran the following programme:

- Twice-weekly junior training on Wednesdays and Thursdays

- Cost-free play nights on Fridays

- Easter and Summer camps 

- Several junior UKBT tournaments

We had considerable success with our junior programme - a number of them went to trials and received excellent feedback. We had one pair who won the U16 gold at the national junior championships and several were selected for the Home Nations and Interregionals squads. 

We had 134 young people turn up to our sessions this year. A large number of them came to our Friday free play sessions, which is a considerable draw into the club and regularly sees over 30 young players come and join for competitive play. 

We used the funding to:

- Subsidise sessions for players with economic barriers to attend

- Subsidise travel to the national junior championships for some of our more competitive players to provide and develop the pathway in the club

- Reduce the cost of our summer and Easter camps, which helps to draw players in”.

We are so glad the funding was beneficial, and helped more people to enjoy our sport.
